Making A Conductor Wire Continuity Test With TL072 OpAmp

To test the conductivity of an electrical conductor, it usually require an Ohm meter within a multi-meters. Conventionally, an analog multi-meters could make the best result of testing the conductor.

However we can create a discrete conductor tester outside the in-use multi-meters with a few components.

I decide to make it once using a general purpose operational amplifier, TL072. TL072 is a general purpose JFET-input operation amplifier.

This operational amplifier is configured as an analog comparator, with one open circuit. The inputs to this analog comparator is the two wire terminals to be tested, as shown in the schematic.
