Making A 12 V To 5 V Buck Converter Using MC34063A
In the earlier post I wrote an overview of MC34063A with an example of a boost converter. Due to device data sheet, there exist another design example of creating a 12 V to 5 V buck converter.
In this section, I follow the design sample to create a complete working example of this stuff. I made my own experiment, schematic and PCB design at my work shop a few years ago.

I take a screen shot of the design sample of that DC/DC buck converter from the device's datasheet.

The design calculation lists below.
The experiment from the manufacturer list below.
The experiment result. The input voltage supplies up to 25 V.
Now I create my own custom schematic and PCB design to fit my own devices I possess. The overall example has completely test in both software simulation and physical hardware. I have test them all with testing instruments, but I did not take any photo of them.
